Pots, plants and people: a documentation of Baïnounk knowledge systems

This project, funded by DoBeS, seeks to document the Baïnounk languages, spoken in the Casamance area of Senegal (West Africa). It focusses on three endangered and connected knowledge systems – the documentation of past and present pottery practices, of plant knowledge and use, and of the nominal classification of the languages.
For further information, see the project Documentation of Endangered Languages.
