A performance of classical music usually ends with a reng; this is a dance piece in the classical style, in 6/8 time.
The reng has a much older tradition than the pishdaramad. Some of these have been incorporated into the repertoire associated with each dastgah. Although some are possibly older, most originated in the 19th century, and their composers are unknown.
From the early 20th century to the present, the repertoire has grown, and the composers of more recent additions are known.
This piece was composed by Faramarz Payvar.
