Following his research into African music and its direct relationship to Afro-Brazilian music, Adriano Adewale formed Umpatacum, performing both traditional and original tunes inspired by this rich heritage. Respecting the legacy of styles such as Baiao, Coco and the better known Samba, Umpatacum mix contemporary and traditional elements to create a vibrant, up-tempo and dynamic performance. With Alba Cabral, Leandra Varanda and Rebeca Valim(voice); Matheus Nova (bass); Netto Pio (guitar) and Ulisses Silva, Lucas Amorim, Adriano Adewale (percussion).
