Musicians of SOAS: The Sages and Aga Ujma

A fantastic feast of folk fusion connecting Asia and Europe, in an exciting SOAS student showcase double-bill featuring The Sages & Aga Ujma!

THE SAGES: It is said that music is the language of the soul, and nothing could be truer for this band that links Mongolian throat singing and Irish harp! The Sages (竹林七贤) are London-based, drawing inspiration from different music elements throughout time and history.

AGA UJMA: Aga Ujma is a multi-instrumentalist and singer-songwriter living between London, Central Java and Poland. She mixes her classical upbringing and folk influences from Poland with music studies at the Indonesian Institute of the Arts in Surakarta, Indonesia.
