Colourful embellishments, unusual modes, and tunes which become catchier the more you play them… In Transylvania, each village has its own, very personal tunes. In this course we will travel across the region, learn czardases, saporas and other dance tunes from various places, as well as rhythms and accompaniments. The teaching will be initially by ear, using scores and charts to aid us master the pieces. All instruments welcome, intermediate level onwards. With Gundula Gruen.
