This intensive training course is open to musicians who are active in their communities as workshop leaders, teachers or social activists and wish to develop their knowledge of using music as a tool for peacebuilding and social change. In this 4day course, participants will improve their leadership and musical skills while exploring concepts related to nonviolence, creativity and improvisation. Participants will learn how to facilitate music workshops that strengthen communities through bridging divides and creating empathic connections between people within an inclusive and safe environment.

Facilitated by Musicians Without Borders, a pioneer in the use of music for reconciliation, community building and healing for people suffering from the effects of war and armed conflict. The organization has implemented successful long-term projects in the Balkans (Kosovo, Bosnia-Herzegovina), the Middle East (Palestine), Central East Africa (Rwanda) and Europe (Northern Ireland).
