SOAS Music Workshops FAQs
How can I reserve a place on a course?
To secure a place on the course(s) of your choice please book online on the SOAS online store. Places cannot be held without full payment.
Will I receive e-tickets?
You will receive an instant booking receipt by email, as well as a further email with practical information specific to your course, or a link to the online class, nearer the time.
Where do courses take place?
All courses take place online or at the main SOAS campus at Russell Square, in the heart of Bloomsbury in Central London. The location or online platform will be mentioned in the course description.
Who are the concessionary rates for?
For our offline courses only, a limited number of places are available at a concessionary rate for NUS, JSA, NHS, Income Support and OAPs.
Can I get a refund once I've paid?
If you have been accepted for a course and we are advised of your cancellation at least 14 days (2 weeks) before the start of the course, we will retain a £15 administration fee and the balance will be refunded to you. If you cancel less than 14 days in advance, the full fee is forfeited unless we can replace you from the waiting list or you can find a suitable substitute in which case only £15 will be retained by us.
If we cancel the course, you will be offered a full refund or credit towards another course.
Is there a waiting list?
If you find that you can't book a place as the course is marked 'sold out', email firstname.lastname@example.org and we will put your name on a waiting list. If a place becomes available, we will notify you.
What does the course fee cover?
The course fee covers the cost of all tuition; it does not cover food or accommodation.
Should I insure my instrument?
SOAS will not be responsible for loss or damage to your personal property. You are advised to insure your own instruments and valuables.
Are courses subject to change?
SOAS reserves the right to change without notice tutors and course details.
