8 March 2017
“Climate Change and Law” was the third seminar in the “Climate Perspectives” seminar series. In this seminar Dr Feja Lesniewska, senior teaching fellow in the SOAS School of Law and in the CISD, illustrated how classical ideas about the purpose of law are being challenged by the uncertainty and instability emerging in our societies as a result of climate change.
“Climate Perspectives” is a series of five seminars taking place in February-March 2017 and addressing climate change from the perspectives of politics, development, law, economics, and individual action. The series has been organized in collaboration between Solar SOAS, the SOAS UNA society, the SOAS Green Group, and the SOAS Law, Environment and Development Centre (LEDC). It is sponsored by the Centre for International Studies and Diplomacy (CISD) at SOAS.
