SOAS Students strong showing at 13th Japanese Speech Contest on 24 February

SOAS students continued their strong showing in The 13th Japanese Speech Contest for University Students, held at Kings College, London on February 24, 2018. 

Yee Ching Chow (BA Japanese & Korean, 4th year) placed 2nd in the speech category with her speech on "Negative body image and the influence of media amongst young women in Japan". Ellis Warren (BA Japanese & Economics, 2nd year) came first in the individual presentation category with his talk entitled "Regarding the British - The British and Racial Tolerance".


Merle Kartscher (BA Japanese & Chinese Studies, 2nd year) was a runner-up in the individual presentation category, narrowly missing out on second place.
