J Simon Rofe, presented to the Parliamentary Office of Science and Technology on the value of research methods to an audience of parliamentary and government advisors.
Rofe highlighted his involvement as co-instructor, along with Yenn Lee, SOAS Doctoral Training Advisor, of one of the biggest research methods course with over 200,000 participants - and SOAS's first Massive Open Online Course (MOOC).

The audience are vital to the operation of government and the interface for the UK's elected politicians.
The organiser from the Parliamentary Office of Science and Technology noted Rofe's presentation: "It was really great to see the participants engaging with the issues and I think it has made them excited to learn more, so that's brilliant."
