SOAS University of London has been ranked among the world’s top 200 for teaching in the 2019 Times Higher Education World University Rankings. The School is now listed 154 – moving up 66 places compared to last year.
SOAS was also ranked among the top global universities for international outlook, listed at 175. This is in addition to the School being listed as one of the most international (6th) in the Times Higher Education International student table, released in May this year.
This follows news of SOAS being awarded a silver ranking in the Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF) 2018 following a successful appeal made by the School to the Office for Students.
SOAS Pro Director of Learning and Teaching Professor Deborah Johnston said: “We welcome this recognition of our teaching quality in the Times Higher Education’s most recent rankings. As shown with our new TEF Silver ranking, this endorses the confidence which we have in the excellence of the student experience at SOAS”.
The THE International League ranks 1,200 global universities.
