SOAS University of London has once again featured amongst the world’s elite institutions in the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2019 with seven of its subject areas across a broad range of disciplines ranked among the world’s top 100.
Top ranking subjects include Development Studies at 8th, Anthropology remaining at 16th and Politics at joint 23rd. Theology, Divinity and Religious Studies and Geography were also in the top 30 at 28th and 30th respectively. Additionally, Communications & Media Studies has risen, moving into 51-100 (from 101-150 in 2018) joining History which is also in the 51-100 band.
SOAS also had seven subjects in the UK top ten rankings including Development Studies and Politics which both rank at 5th in the UK, Anthropology which is 6th, Theology, Divinity and Religious Studies and Modern Languages at 8th, Linguistics ranked 9th and Geography at 10th.
SOAS is also ranked among Europe's top 20 for Arts and Humanities.
The 2019 QS rankings rank over 1,222 institutions across 48 subjects.
