The Alumni team co-hosted an event with the SOAS Law Department and the British Council on the 15th October to celebrate our Alumna Noha Aboueldahab winning the BC Global Alumni Award for Professional Achievement. She was the guest speaker in conversation with Dr Gina Heathcote for the Critical Conversation Series of the Centre for the Study of Colonialism, Empire and International Law, speaking about transitional justice in the Middle East. The event was well attended with around 40 students and academics. The British Council filmed the event and captured Noha's return to SOAS walking around PWW and the Library. They will share the content with us and we will post it on our social media channels and on our website. The next deadline for the British Council Alumni awards will be the 28th of October, so if anyone in the team knows of a suitable candidate please let Lucy in the Alumni team know (firstname.lastname@example.org). More info about the award here.
Noha: "Thanks for all the time and effort you put into my visit. I really appreciate it. It was a fantastic walk down memory lane and I really enjoyed the conversation with Gina and the students. I will always be a proud SOAS alumna!"
