Dr J Simon Rofe, Global Diplomacy Programme Director and Reader in Diplomatic and International Studies, was awarded the Roger Mills Prize for Innovation in Learning and Teaching on behalf of the Centre for Distance Education (CDE), University of London by the University of London Vice-Chancellor, Professor Wendy Thomson, for his work on the Postgraduate Certificate Learning and Teaching in Higher Education alongside colleagues from the University of London.

The University of London Vice-Chancellor joined others in congratulating Dr Rofe and the team at the Research in Distance Education Conference , which took place on Friday 13 March.

Dr Rofe, a Fellow of the CDE, said, "It has been a great privilege to work with colleagues at The University of London and employ the pedagogy developed in our Online Learning programmes at SOAS to a global community of practice - teachers everywhere looking to enhance their online and campus practice."
