A new book by Dr Dan Plesch, director of SOAS' Centre for International Studies and Diplomacy, has been the subject of reviews and interviews by the Economist, the BBC's Today programme and the Jewish Chronicle, among others.
The Economist described America, Hitler and the UN as "closely argued and compelling" in its review, which appears in its 27 January edition: http://www.economist.com/node/18007829.
The interview in the Jewish Chronicle appeared on 28 January: http://www.thejc.com/lifestyle/the-simon-round-interview/44389/interview-dan-plesch
Plesch was also interviewed by the BBC's Today programme earlier this month. He spoke with the BBC's John Humphrys: http://news.bbc.co.uk/today/hi/...stm. (The clip is also posted below.)
Broadcaster Jonathan Dimblebly chaired a launch event for the book at the Brunei Gallery Lecture Theatre on 13 January.
The book was also the subject of Simon Tisdall's World Briefing column in the Guardian on 14 January: http://www.guardian.co.uk/commentisfree/2011/jan/13/un-origins-military-purpose.
