CCRJ Member Professor Zoë Marriage, Senior Lecturer in Development Studies at SOAS published a book in April 2013: “Formal Peace and Informal War: Security and Development in Congo”.
About the book:
Global security is defined by the interests of powerful northern countries and systematically exacerbates insecurity for Congo’s population by aggravating threats from domestic and international elites. Exploring Congo’s recent wars and peace agreement, this book incorporates Congolese perspectives on security into policy and academic discourse, issuing empirical and analytical challenges.
