The Pro Bono Programme was launched in 2009 as the first of its kind in the Middle East region. The DIFC Courts continue to refine and develop the Programme, which offers services from basic legal advice to full case management and representation in proceedings for eligible individuals who can demonstrate that they are unable to afford legal representation.

Comparative aspects of Islamic law with human rights law and international humanitarian law. Fiqh al-mu’amalat al-maliyah (the jurisprudence of financial transactions)
  • Law and Society: Contemporary Islamic movements; the interplay between ethics and Islamic law
