  • Riyadh Metro Transit Oriented Development (TOD) commissioned by Al Riyadh Development Authority (ADA)
  • Al Aredh Nationa Park Project - commissioned by the Governor of Central Region of Saudi Arabia
  • Banban District Project - Sustainable city project near King Abdullah financial centre
  • Bahrain International Airport - new Terminal and feasibility study
  • Research and writing contribution for "Doing Business in the UAE" (in conjunction with SADER Group)
  • Working with the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry on establishing, evaluating and recognising business projects and entities under Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Business Awards (MRM Business Award) which recognises and rewards firms that contribute to the UAE's economic development.

The Pro Bono Programme was launched in 2009 as the first of its kind in the Middle East region. The DIFC Courts continue to refine and develop the Programme, which offers services from basic legal advice to full case management and representation in proceedings for eligible individuals who can demonstrate that they are unable to afford legal representation.

  • Islamic law/Shari'ah (generally). Specifically: Usul al-Fiqh (Islamic legal theory); Maqasid al-Shari’ah, and its role and development in the modern era. Comparative aspects of Islamic law with human rights law and international humanitarian law. Fiqh al-mu’amalat al-maliyah (the jurisprudence of financial transactions)
  • Law and Society: Contemporary Islamic movements; the interplay between ethics and Islamic law
