PhD Research

Recently, South Korea has rapidly emerged as a new official donor in Africa from the millennium onwards. The primary aim of my research project is to uncover the purpose behind South Korea’s foreign aid policy and analyse its modalities of aid delivery through the cases of Rwanda and DRC. Mainly, interviews are being conducted with Korean policy-makers to aid researchers and workers in Seoul, and volunteers in Rwanda and the DRC.
