This thesis with the working title Militant Femininity: The PKK-led Women's Movement in the Kurdish Middle East – A Transnational Analysis, examines the historical and political trajectory of female participation in the PKK-led women's movement from the 1980s-today. Analysing everyday experiences of violence and resistance, it highlights patterns and processes of female mobilisation, organisation and participation in the activist, political and armed sphere of the movement, complicating debates around feminism, nationalism and militarism, as well as gender, sexuality and conflict.
