Mpalive Msiska (Birkbeck)
Zaahida Nabagereka is a third year doctoral researcher at the School of Oriental and African Studies focusing on literature production in Uganda. Her research looks at the relationship between texts in Luganda, the largest indigenous language in the country, and texts in English. She is also Co Founder of Afrikult., a platform and collective that explores, discusses and celebrates African literature. Based in London, and formed whilst studying at SOAS in January 2014 Afrikult. has grown from having an initially online virtual presence to delivering various physical events and workshops within different spaces internationally.
