Thesis title:
Queer Diversity and Inclusion Policy and Practice: an Ethnographic Study of Queer Politics in India’s Information City
Internal Supervisors

Originally hailing from the San Francisco Bay Area, I hold Bachelor of Arts degrees in Philosophy and Women's Studies from University of California-Los Angeles (UCLA) and a Master of Philosophy in Gender Studies from University of Oslo (UiO). During my graduate work in Oslo, I held affiliations with Norwegian Institute for Urban and Regional Research (NIBR), Oslo and with Centre for Development Studies, Thiruvananthapuram. I'm currently conducting ethnographic research on queer politics in India. My entry point is the politics surrounding queer labour in the South Indian city of Bangalore, a metropolitan centre experiencing dramatic socio-economic and political changes with the rise of the information technologies industry after liberalisation in the late-1980s.
