Biography
Hassan is an ESRC postdoctoral research fellow in the Department of Development Studies. His research interests encompass migration, borders and development, with a particular interest in Mauritania and the West African and Sahel. He holds an MSc in Sociology, with a focus on Migration and Ethnic Studies, from the University of Amsterdam. He obtained his PhD in the Department of Development Studies at SOAS in 2021.
