Biography

Victoria completed her PhD in the Department of Economics at SOAS University of London in 2017 and currently works as a Teaching Fellow in International Political Economy in the Department of European and International Studies at King’s College London. Her research focuses on the political economy of the Eurozone crisis and specifically its causes and manifestations in the case of Portugal. Her broader research interests include the global financial crisis, neoliberalism and capitalist transformation, financialisation, labour and trade unions, and the political economy of development. Victoria holds an MSc in Globalisation and Development (SOAS) and a BA in Development Studies (Oslo). She has taught courses in the Political Economy of Finance, Crisis and Development; the International Political Economy of Labour and Production; Comparative Capitalism and Political Economy of Development – at SOAS and at King’s.
