Biography
Dr. Celeste Gianni is a library scholar and a lecturer of Arabic literature. She holds a MA in Arabic literature and a Ph.D. in Near & Middle Eastern Studies by SOAS, University of London. Her Ph.D. dissertation (2018) is entitled: “Poetics of the Catalogue: Library Catalogues in the Arab Provinces During the Late Ottoman Period”. She also works with various library collections with a focus on Arabic manuscripts, Arabic early prints and Arabic documents and objects in Renaissance and early modern Italy.
