Biography

Dr Nojeem Amodu has consistently graduated top of his class from his LLB degree at the Lagos State University to the LLM and PhD degrees from the University of Lagos, Nigeria. His thesis, bordering on comparative corporate law, CSR and business sustainability in the extractive industries, won the best PhD Thesis in Humanities. Although currently undertaking a post-doctoral research at the Centre for Comparative Law in Africa (CCLA), Department of Commercial Law of the University of Cape Town (UCT), Nojeem has more than 11 years cumulative experience as both external solicitor and in-house corporate and commercial legal counsel, and effectively combining scholarship in corporate social responsibility, with pragmatic industry experience to provide solutions to day-to-day problems. He consults in different multicultural environments and in leading multinational corporations including Dangote Industries Limited. Nojeem also consults at M. A. Banire & Associates as corporate commercial team lead.

  • Business and Human Rights;
  • Multinational Enterprises and the Law;
  • Corporate Social Responsibility, Sustainability and Economic Integration (AfCFTA and EU).
