Biography

Özge Söylemez is a Teaching Fellow in the Department of Politics and International Studies at SOAS, University of London and a doctoral researcher at the Lau China Institute, King's College London. After receiving a BA in International Relations from Dokuz Eylul University in Turkey, Özge obtained her MSc in Democracy and Democratisation at University College London and her MRes in Politics (with Mandarin) at SOAS.

Her doctoral research focuses on Sino-Turkish relations in global economic governance with a particular focus on the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI).
