Biography

In-Sung Kim Han received her BA and PhD in History of Art at SOAS in 2011 and 2017 respectively. Since having completed her PhD, she continues her research on cross-cultural relationship between Korea and the Islamic lands during the pre-modern period with a particular focus on material culture, and is currently working toward finishing the book on this topic. Before being trained as an Art Historian, her major professional interest was in English literature, with her BA, MA and PhD (1991) done at Ewha Women’s University, Seoul, Korea (South). She was a lecturer in her alma mater while in Seoul, and also an award-wining writer known for her books on her literary travelogues. A revised version of her books is to be published in 2020.
