Biography
Hyosub Kim is a PhD student in the Department of History at Sungkyunkwan University, Republic of Korea, where he completed both his BA and MA. The MA dissertation title is "Lee Gyu-Bo's Life as a Bureaucrat and Friendship under the Military Rule in Goryeo Dynasty". He has published four papers in authorized journals in Korea. He has received scholarships from both Nation Research Foundation of Korea and his home university for several years.
Research interests
Hyosub Kim is focusing on the characteristics of the ruling class in Korean medieval (10th-15th century, Goryeo Dynasty) society. For this purpose, he has investigated kinship, intermarriage, family consciousness, and the social network within the ruling class.
