Biography

Since 2020 I have lectured on the Islam in Britain and Muslim Britain modules at the HRP department at SOAS. In the past I have lectured at the University of Edinburgh between 2020-2022, and currently also lecture at the University of Oxford Department of Geography.

I have two forthcoming books titled "Bartered Bridegrooms: Transacting Muslim Masculinities as Post Colonial Legacy" due to be published in July 2024 by Manchester University Press, and "Racialisation of Islam: British Muslims as Tools for Nation Making"

My education trajectory includes a BA from Magdalen College University of Oxford (2014), during which time I received a scholarship to study at Stanford University, a Masters from SOAS (2015), and a PhD from UCL, the final year of which I completed at Yale under Professor Marcia Inhorn's supervision.
