My pronouns are she/her. I originally trained as a teacher and then as an educational psychologist in 1998. I now work at SOAS supporting students with specific learning differences such as dyslexia, ADHD and dyspraxia to support their learning.

Drawing from students' cultural background and other aspects of their identity and blending this with ideas from neuroscience, learning styles, emotional aspects of learning, I aim to foster empowerment in students. I have a (nearly) lifelong interest in Psychology and I have a focus on non-western approaches to human experience which embrace the spiritual aspect and the connectivity across the human and natural world.

Alongside my work in SOAS, I am involved in projects in my local community of Ladbroke Grove. Community is very important to me and currently I am working on the hidden stories of Black women who lived, travelled and worked in London.
