Biography
My pronouns are she/her. I job share the Disability and Neurodiversity Advisor role and been working at SOAS since 2011.
I identify at woman from a working class family in the UK, with European and Caribbean ancestry.
I previously worked as a Mental Health and Wellbeing advisor at Kingston University, and Employment Support Worker for a mental health trust in a project that supported the employment of staff with direct experience of mental health issues. I have worked in health and social care settings for all of my professional career, and this includes working with children, teenagers and adults with disabilities and those living in local authority care. I have a degree in Psychology, and I am also a trained Careers advisor. I have had considerable experience and interest in the development and delivery of diversity training.
