Anne joined the Language Centre in January 2014, having recently worked for the University of Sunderland helping to set up their London campus at Canary Wharf. She has a first degree from Glasgow University in French and German and originally qualified as a teacher of Modern Foreign Languages before converting to EFL teaching and travelling the world. She has taught English for a wide range of organisations, both overseas and in the UK, and is an experienced ELT teacher trainer. She has an MA in Applied Linguistics from Birmingham University and her most recent academic work has focussed on designing, teaching on and co-ordinating EAP courses for international students at UK universities. Anne has an MBA from Leicester University and has previously managed the Language Centres at the universities of Worcester, Strathclyde and Bradford and London Metropolitan University. Her current professional interests are in cross-cultural communication and language assessment practices.
