In 2011 I graduated from Kyungpook National University with a BA in Korean Language and Literature Education. While I worked as secondary Korean language teacher, I became interested in teaching Korean language for non-native speakers. Hence I came to the UK and studied an MA in Applied Linguistics and Language Pedagogy at SOAS. My research is about developing a story-based teaching-learning model for Korean particles.
Inspired by the advantageous features of stories, I am working on developing a story-based grammar teaching model. Among the most difficult parts in learning Korean are particles, so I am interested in the development of a story-based teaching-learning model for Korean particles. The effectiveness of story in language learning (learning Korean particles in particular) will be examined using the model, which will be developed and suggested in research.
