Student Advice and Wellbeing Drop-in Times

Important: drop-ins are unavailable while we continue to operate remotely. Please contact us on the details below to access any of our services.

We are open Monday to Friday between 09.30 - 16.30, and are located in SL48 in the Paul Webley Wing. Booked appointments can operate either side of these hours. Please note that our office is closed on Wednesday mornings until 11.00.

Drop-ins are short initial meetings (about 15 minutes long) with an advisor or counsellor. They are run on a first come, first served basis and can fill up very quickly, so please aim to arrive for the start of the session but no more than 30 minutes early.

If you decide to come to a drop-in, please check our most recent Friday email (titled 'Updates from Student Advice and Wellbeing') for any changes to drop-in times.


If you cannot make any of the drop-in times, please get in touch as we can make other arrangements for you to speak to an advisor or counsellor (including phone and video call appointments) outside of these times.

Disability advice (Term time only)

  • Monday: 11.00 - 12.00
  • Thursday: 11.00 - 12.00

Finance & Immigration advice

  • Tuesday: 10.00 - 12.00
  • Wednesday: 11.15 - 12.15
  • Thursday: 10.00 - 12.00

Learning Advisors (Term time only)

  • Monday: 13.30 - 15.00
  • Tuesday: 11.30 - 13.00
  • Friday: 13.30 - 15.00

Housing advice

  • Wednesday: 10.00 - 11.30
  • Friday: 9.30 - 11.00

Mentoring (45-minute slot, bookable in person on the day)

  • Friday: 14.00

Wellbeing Advice

Wellbeing Advice drop-in sessions run as follows each week (subject to change - any amendments will be announced in our weekly email newsletter).

  • Monday: 11.00 - 12.00
  • Tuesday: 9.30 - 11.00
  • Wednesday: 12.30 - 13.30
  • Thursday: 13.00 - 14.00
  • Friday: 11.15 - 12.15

You will have the opportunity to briefly meet with a counsellor/advisor to talk about anything that is bothering you and explore what kind of support might be best.
