You might have to register with the Police when you arrive in the UK. If you do, this requirement will be specified on your 30 day vignette (sticker in passport) or in the letter you receive from UK Visas & Immigration (UKVI) telling you that your visa has been approved.
The conditions of your visa will say you need to register within 7 days of entering the UK. This requirement must be met when you make your arrangements to register with the Police. Students will be expected to carry out their own registration with the police and should check the Metropolitan Police website for full details of how and where to register.
Changes to your personal details
You can let UKVI know online but you might have to send in documents in some circumstances. Please make sure you get in touch directly with UKVI. We won’t be able to do it for you.
If you have a police registration condition on your visa, you must also let the Police know of certain changes in your details including when you change address, change name(s) or if you get a new passport or visa. Please see the Metropolitan Police website for more details.
