How our alumni get involved with SOAS

Alumni, get involved!
In the Careers Service, we are always looking for ways for SOAS alumni to get involved in our activities. Our current students derive great benefits from interacting with Alums, be it during a one-to-one meeting, or reading about a particular career path, or listening to a panel of speakers. There are several ways in which you can get involved with SOAS and current SOAS students once you graduate.
Exhibiting at, or hosting events
We host a variety of events, employer presentations, fairs and skills sessions that alumni can attend. Further details are available on our CareerZONE.
Offer mentoring support to students
SOAS Connect is our eMentoring platform which is designed to help connect SOAS Students and Alumni. This could be anything from a few emails to checking a CV/application, to meeting face to face or even offering work experience. This also gives an opportunity for both students and alumni to connect with one another and have open discussions about opportunities and questions that we all face once we graduate!
SOAS Connect now hosts a Diverse Heritage Careers Mentoring Programme. The programme is a space for diverse heritage alumni to connect with diverse heritage students and help develop their future careers. Join today via SOAS Connect - if you have any questions please get in contact at EmployerEngagement@soas.ac.uk.
Other ways to engage with students
You may wish to tell students what you are doing now as a SOAS graduate. If you are interested in sharing what you have been up to, just email careers@soas.ac.uk to let us know.
If you have any questions about getting involved, please contact us on 020 7898 4115 or by email on careers@soas.ac.uk.
