    Thulisile: Ungangisiza uma uya esitolo ungiphathele ubisi nesinkwa.

    Khonseni: Kulungile ngingakuphathela lokhu.

    Thulisile: Ngibonga kakhulu. Uzobuya nini?

    Khonseni: Ngizobuya ngo-4.

    Thulisile: Ngizomthuma ubhuti kuwe angilandele izinto zami. Uzokunika imali uma elanda isinkwa nobisi.

    Namuhla kuyilanga lami lokuphumula. Mina ngivama ukuya edolobheni ukuthenga noma ukuvakashela abangane bami uma angisebenzi. Ngiyabashayela ucingo ngibatshele uma ngiya edolobheni. Amanye amalanga sithanda ukuhlangana endaweni yokuphuza ikhofi. Sivama ukuhlala, sixoxe sihleke kakhulu ngoba sithanda izindaba.

    Namuhla ngizohlangana noZandile uma yena eya edolobheni. Kufanele ngimshayele ucingo ngimbuze ukuthi uzoya edolobheni.

    ‘Sawubona Sisi.’ ‘Hawu nguwe, sawubona Thoko.’ ‘Ngifuna ukwazi noma wena uzoya edolobheni namuhla.’ ‘Yebo, umama ungicele ngiye ukumthengela igilosa.’ ‘Nami ngifuna ukuya. Singaya ukuphuza ikhofi na?’ ‘Yebo, kuzobamnandi, singahlangana ngo-12?’ ‘Yebo, kulungile!’

    Endaweni yokuphuza ikhofi. ‘Sawubona mngane wami, unjani wena?’

    Sawubona. Cha-ke ngikhona, anginankinga. Woza singene si-ode ikhofi nekhekhe. Ngiyawafuna namanzi ngoba ngomile kakhulu.’

    Basaphila ekhaya na? Yebo ngaphandle kwogogo. Hhayi, uyaguga manje. Akanamandla ukwenza umsebenzi endlini. Kufanele thina simsize kakhulu.

    Zandile, ngifuna ukumbona ugogo wakho ngesonto.
