70 years on, the Indian subcontinent is still effected by the momentous event which took place on 15th August 1947. A lot of the regions conflicts have been caused by the Partition that separated India and Pakistan (and later Bangladesh).

The students will be introduced to the fight for independence and what aftermath independence had on the subcontinent. The students will be exposed to the history and culture of India through a mixture of historical lectures, language tasters and an interactive debate.

This event is great for students who are studying history, interested in learning languages and want to improve their debating skills.
