SOAS University of London

Nayim Kareem, 1st Year

The Globalisation Summer School made the transition to SOAS slightly easier as it was an insight into University life, lectures, note taking methods and a chance to ask questions to an ambassador about University life.

BA History and Economics

During the Summer School we were assigned a student ambassador for our group, she was very helpful and offered an insight into studying at SOAS. My experiences with the Ambassador and in the taster class convinced me to apply to SOAS. Previous to the Summer School I had not been considering them.

I've always wanted to study History and I also wanted to study Economics further after my experience at college. The Globalisation Summer School made the transition to SOAS slightly easier as it was an insight into University life, lectures, note taking methods and a chance to ask questions to an Ambassador about University life such as timetables.

Nayim is currently doing a BA in History and Economics. He attended the Globalisation Summer School when he was in Sixth Form.
