Are you a budding historian? Would you like to gain more insight into studying History at university? If you enjoy analysing facts and exploring sources then be a part of the SOAS History Summer School.

During the summer school you will attend lectures by leading academics, debate key issues, engage in study skills sessions to sharpen up your critical thinking ability and find out about the UCAS process and how to make your personal statement stand out. You will also meet and work with current SOAS students as well as getting to ask recent graduates about their experiences.

This summer school is for students in year 12 attending state schools and colleges within the UK. Priority should be given to those who would be the first in their family to attend university in the UK; this is a widening participation activity designed to give students a first-class experience of study at HE level.

Applications have reopened for students who fit one or more of the following criteria:

  • would be the first in their family to attend university in the UK
  • have been eligible for free school meals
  • have been in Local Authority care

The application deadline has been extended to Friday May 18th 2018.
