The Access & Student Success team are launching a new Social Action Fund programme in which students can apply for grants to design and deliver their own social action projects. If you're passionate about making a difference in your community and have a great idea for a project, you could apply for a Social Action Fund grant and receive up to £250 as an individual, or £500 as a group.
You will have regular meetings with our Community Engagement officer to support and guide you throughout your project, ensuring that everything runs smoothly and your project is a success. As well as making a lasting impact, you will also gain valuable project management experience and your social action project could really take off and turn into something that supports your community and inspires others to do the same.
Our Community Engagement Officer will be launching this programme and talking about it in detail as part of the Welcome Season. The event will take place virtually on Friday 2 October from 16:00-17:00 and you can attend the talk on BlackBoard Collaborate.
