This event is a dialogue with James Heenan, representative of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights in Korea. 

About the speaker

James Heenan is the Representative at the UN Human Rights Office in Seoul, which is focused on the human rights situation in the DPRK. He has worked with the UN for over 20 years, previous roles including Representative in Palestine, Chief of the Treaty Body Section at headquarters and Country Representative in Cambodia. 

Prior to joining the UN, he worked in academia, and was a practising lawyer in the United Kingdom and in his native Australia.
