Biography

Julia Taylor is a PhD student on the joint Wits-SOAS programme in Applied Development Economics.

She is also a Researcher on Climate Change and Inequality at the Southern Centre for Inequality Studies at Wits University in Johannesburg, South Africa. Previously, she was Researcher and Climate Policy Lead at the Institute for Economic Justice where she worked with labour unions on priorities for a just transition.

Prior to moving into research, she worked with NGOs in South Africa on issues of youth unemployment and ecological education, as well as sustainability consulting.
