Biography

In-Sung Kim Han earned her BA in History of Art in 2011 and her PhD in History of Art in 2017.

Since obtaining her PhD, she has continued her research on the pre-modern cross-cultural link between Korea and the Islamic regions, with a special focus on material culture, and is currently working on finalizing the monograph on this topic. Her primary professional interest prior to becoming an Art Historian was English literature, which she studied at Ewha Women's University in Seoul, Korea (South).

While in Seoul, she lectured at her alma mater and produced several books about her literary travelogues. Her most recent writings include two books translated from English to Korean, one on Islamic art and the other on the relationship of Buddhism and Islam, as well as a book on a Buddhist sermon translated from Korean.
