Biography
Dr Jiayu Zhang received her PhD in Gender Studies from the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Before coming to SOAS, she taught at the Hong Kong Institute of Education as Guest Lecturer for Liberal Education. Her research interests include gender policy and law in China, gender equality ideology, sexuality and human rights in Chinese societies. In the future, she hopes to extend her research field to develop some comparative studies between China and other East Asia countries.
