Biography

Gareth Bentley is a senior teaching fellow in Media at SOAS, University of London. He studied an MA in Film, Television and Theatre Studies at University of Glasgow, an MA in International Relations at SOAS and completed his PhD in Media at SOAS in 2013. He has worked for the Scottish Film Council, Glasgow, and the Taiwan Film Centre, Taipei, as a researcher. At SOAS, he has taught undergraduate and postgraduate Media for ten years. From 2010 to 2013, he taught Global Media and Post-national Communication & The Transnational News Environment in the Centre for Media and Film Studies, SOAS. In 2012, he taught International Political Communication in the Centre for Media and Film Studies, SOAS.
