Biography
Since his undergraduate studies Cristobal has been interested in analysing problems of rural development in the Third World, with particular reference to Latin America. He has done research work in Chile, Peru, Cuba, Bolivia, Honduras and Nicaragua.
He also has a longstanding commitment to development studies as an interdisciplinary field of teaching, research and policy. Thus he has done research on the development of development theory and historical aspects of development studies with particular reference to Latin America.
