Join us for an evening with Shuang Xuetao 双雪涛, one of China’s most celebrated contemporary authors, as he introduces his latest story collection, Hunter, translated by Jeremy Tiang.
The event will feature a reading from the book, followed by a conversation and audience Q&A, offering a rare opportunity to engage directly with a leading voice in Chinese fiction.
About the author
Shuang Xuetao is the award-winning author of seven volumes of fiction. His accolades include the Blossoms Literary Prize, the Wang Zengqi Short Story Prize, and the Blancpain-Imaginist Award for the best Chinese writer under forty-five.
His short fiction has been published internationally in Granta, The New Yorker, Astra Magazine, and Brick. A collection of three novellas, Rouge Street, appeared in English in 2022, followed by Hunter in 2025. His works have been adapted for both film and television. He lives in Beijing.
