On 27 March 2026, the workshop Rumo ao Trabalho Decente no Cuidado took place at FEA-USP in São Paulo. Co-organised by Dr Manuel Garcia Dellacasa, Lecturer in Economics at SOAS, together with MADE-USP, Rede Desajuste and CESIT, the event brought together more than 50 participants from the worlds of research, policymaking and work for a day of discussion on decent work in care.

SOAS PhD graduate Dr Alice Mogwe was appointed to the prestigious Ordre de la Légion d’Honneur by President Emmanuel Macron and the French government in August.
