Iona Summerson is an ESRC-funded doctoral candidate in the Department of Politics and International Studies at SOAS University of London. Their interdisciplinary research – across settler colonial studies, political theory and geology – is broadly concerned with resistance to and the reproduction of settler colonialism/capitalism, as articulated through its relations to geological nature.

Shengnan Dong is a PhD candidate in the Department of History of Art and Archaeology at SOAS University of London. Her research focuses on Buddhist art, architecture, and visual culture in Tibet from the 10th to 15th centuries. Her current project examines a fifteenth-century chorten (stupa) at Chung Riwoche in Central Tibet.

Milena Wuerth is a PhD candidate in Anthropology. Her research focusses on social aspects of mental health and structural underpinnings of inequalities in healthcare.

Hanxiang Zhang is a London-based filmmaker currently pursuing a PhD in Film Studies at SOAS, University of London. His current practice-based project, Diasporic Chinese Identities in Southeast Asian Tropical Space – A Visual Representation, is related to his previous research on the Chinese diaspora, and continues to explore the identities of overseas Chinese in Southeast Asia through documentary filmmaking.
